I think you're referring to a cable that connects to another port, likely coming from somewhere outside the apartment. It seems like the previous occupant used a plug to bring internet into this space, and instead of reusing a short cable through a switch, they opted for a direct connection via a switch that then linked to the main board.

You can connect the internet cable to a switch and then link the switch to the four ports.

Yup created a simple diagram. The blue wire is the one already connected to a power outlet, which is what I expected you to move toward the switch. However, you can adjust it however you like—what matters is that there’s a connection between the switch and the router. Then link the remaining components accordingly.
