Network Switch Problem
Network Switch Problem
I recently changed my internet service provider and installed a new router. After setup, some ports on my switch stopped functioning properly. For instance, the port where my PC is connected displays "Unidentified Network," but switching to an adjacent port resolves the issue. Several ports on the switch are affected, and I’d like them all to work correctly. I’ve already attempted a factory reset of both the switch and router without success. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
Have you connected your PC straight to the ISP's router rule via the switch? Which network devices do you own? Begin with the equipment the ISP provided before the PC was set up. Unless it's a managed switch, you likely won't need to adjust this for unmanaged models. What kind of Ethernet cables are you using? Have you experimented with fresh or alternative cables? Are the cables themselves in good condition? Do they have sharp bends or damaged insulation? Are all connections supporting 1Gbps?
