I swapped my RX 580 for a 6700 XT during testing. Everything seemed fine at first—WiFi adapter on the motherboard (Colorful B660i, Intel AX201) worked at around 2-3 MB/s or 20 Mbps. After about ten minutes, connection dropped to just 0.30 Mb/s. I attempted driver reinstalls, resets, and even removed the GPU driver, but nothing resolved it. Switching to a TP link USB WiFi adapter restored normal speeds. Did the original adapter fail after the change?

Check the 580 again and observe if the link recovers. If it doesn't, likely unrelated to the GPU.

I used the 580 model, but the connection remains poor. I also swapped out the antenna, which slightly improved performance to around 0.70 Mb/s. The most unusual attempt was enabling my phone’s hotspot so my PC could connect; it then reached speeds of 20s Mb/s or 3-4 MB/s. Other devices in the house still function normally. I’ve restarted both the router and modem several times, but the issue persists. It seems there might be a software compatibility problem with my setup.

No recent changes between the router and the computer. Connection appears stable.

Router and pc are just a short distance apart, almost like they’re next to each other. Phones and laptops maintain strong signals near the pc. I also observed that my neighbors’ wifi isn’t being detected by the pc anymore—usually only mine is visible. On my end, signal strength stayed steady at four bars on the pc, while it didn’t change much on my phone. This situation is becoming increasingly confusing.

It seems the voltage isn't where it should be. It might be an issue with the motherboard or the Wi-Fi chip. You could try using an adapter or a PCIe Wi-Fi card.

Ensure PCIe 3.0 is enabled in the main PCIe expansion slot on your motherboard. Check for any impact it may have.

It was similar before the change, as I’m using a Gen 3 riser. Would it be better to switch to PCIe 2?

The theory applies only to PCIe 4.0. Check if the riser stripe overlaps the WLAN NIC. You might be picking up interference now or the riser is damaged—test without it. The motherboard looks good overall.

Could the issue lie with the power supply unit? It's a 650-watt Enermax Revolution SFX model. I'm a bit unsure if 650 watts is sufficient for a 12400f and a 6700xt, even though both passed stress tests without problems. I want to confirm the PSU isn't the cause. It makes contact with most of the back of the motherboard, but not the area under the WiFi card. Testing without the riser is challenging because the GPU seems stuck inside the case. I'll attempt that if nothing else works.
