I'm connected through a Hamachi link with my friend. We both have fast SSDs; I shared a folder and mapped it. When he joined my network, he was able to access it but when he tried to upload a 3GB file, his speed was limited to about 1.72MB/s. His internet tests show solid performance—around 500MB download and more than 100MB upload, with speeds up to 10MB/s for large files on mega.co.nz. My download speed is roughly 150MB/s and my upload cap is around 15MB/s according to Speedtest.net. His download speed is much slower, and when he opened the file, it dropped to around 400KB/s. The issue seems to be related to network conditions or bandwidth allocation between us.

I would configure an OpenVPN server on both your and your friends' computers. It requires more effort than a simple setup, but it offers better reliability. Many online sources highlight that Hamachi tends to be significantly slower.
