Network setup issues on OBS can occur.
Hello... I'm just beginning streaming with OBS. I use a two-PC setup through OBS NDI, but I'm facing issues connecting them over LAN. Sometimes it works, but it usually takes me about 30 minutes to fix and reset the network adapter repeatedly. I've tried using Wi-Fi sharing to link my LAN, as recommended on YouTube. Could someone with networking experience help? My PCs stop detecting each other after shutdown for a while, and the troubleshooter says Ethernet has an invalid IP configuration. I'm not very familiar with networking, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Both devices are linked together using an Ethernet cable, or each is connected to a switch/router through Ethernet.
I’m not very comfortable with your app, but it seems you’re trying to connect two PCs using just a regular Ethernet cable and expect a LAN. You’ll need a crossover cable, set up internal IPs, and configure a Windows workgroup on both sides. Do you know if you can connect both machines to a router or switch to share internet? That would be a straightforward way to create a LAN without relying on a bridged setup.
