I've arranged my desktop sharing folders mainly for accessing video and audio from tablets and phones on the home network. However, I need my laptop connected to Wi-Fi so it can view the document network shares without using OneDrive constantly. The shares are already active on the desktop with no password, but I’m unsure why I can’t access them directly. Did I set everything up correctly?

Ensure both devices are connected to the private network in Windows. This activates the filesharing capabilities to share information across the network. Adjust settings via Network & Internet, then select the interface and choose "properties."
