OS - Windows 11 22H2 64-bit setup. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H, Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB GDDR6. Manufacturer: Acer. Exact model: Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R7ND (laptop or desktop). WiFi card: Intel AX200 (previously Mediatek MT7921, changed due to packet loss and latency issues). Hello! I’m experiencing packet loss and frequent ping spikes during gameplay, especially in VALORANT when connecting to enemies. The problem persists even after replacing the Intel AX200 card. It’s noticeably better than the original Mediatek chip but still suffers from significant packet drops. I’ve tested it on my phone too—it performs much better with minimal or no losses. Do you have a solution to reduce these issues, or should I return it for warranty?

What device are you using, and why can't you connect an AX200 to your phone? It seems like a PCIe Wi-Fi card rather than a standard adapter. The AX200 represents a big improvement over the Mediakit series, so it might not be the main issue. Could you share details about your home network setup? How does the internet travel from the ISP to your device? Of course, the simplest fix would be switching to a wired connection—do you have an Ethernet port on your laptop?

Hey there. Just a reminder I'm used to working on a desktop, so I might not be familiar with laptop settings and features.

It doesn't apply only to laptops. The AX200 works on any machine with a PCIe interface. You can either use a carrier board to convert the A/E key to a standard x1 PCIe slot and attach the antenna, or install a Wi-Fi card directly. It's okay to make a mistake—just searching online can help avoid embarrassment.

You currently use a D-Link DIR-X1860A router with WiFi 6 and a Huawei EchoLife HG8240H, along with an Ethernet connection on your laptop.

This GPON equipment seems to be tightly restricted—can you connect a wired port directly from the router, or is the ISP using special firmware that blocks standard use? It probably isn’t an FTTH connection.

I can connect via the router's port, but I have to travel all the way to my room, so I favor using Wi-Fi instead.

It's only for troubleshooting, whether it's the ISP or the Wi-Fi configurations. You won't achieve ideal latency and packet loss rates, but this situation is unusual.

I've previously utilized the port through the router for speed assessments and conducted packet loss tests on a website, and everything functioned correctly.
