Hi, I've encountered a problem linking to my friend's server. He's running an unturned game server, and everyone else on my network can join without trouble. But I'm having difficulty connecting myself, and nothing appears to be reachable on my network. Online ping tests show he's accessible, yet I can't get a response. Even other friend networks work fine, suggesting the problem might be network-related. I haven't changed any firewall settings on my router, and I reset it to rule out that as the cause. Since this issue seems isolated, I'm hoping someone can assist me. Thanks ahead!

Navigate to Advanced > Security > Block Services. Check any entries there. In Advanced > Security > Schedule, review the status of each option.

the system shows no entries beneath blocked services or timetable. the schedule is configured for GMT time. in wan configuration, all options are unchecked. these represent the wan setup details: turn off IPv4 Firewall Protection, disable port scan and DoS protection, set default DMZ Server, allow ping responses on internet ports, specify MTU size in bytes, and remove SIP ALG.

Consider sending these ports through your router. If that fails, enable the 'Default DMZ Server' and point it to your PC's IP address, ensuring your Windows firewall is enabled and configured to forward those ports.

Your Netgear router is performing its duties effectively... maintaining your network security. However, it seems a bit overly reliable. You might try options #1, 2 and 4 individually in Advanced > Setup > WAN Setup to evaluate their impact. Of course, you're taking a chance by potentially weakening your network protection.
