My laptop and iPhone both use WiFi with speeds around 200-300 mbps. My desktop, connected via Ethernet, currently averages 50-60 mbps. A few weeks ago, my desktop could reach 200-300 mbps too—like Steam’s download speed is now about 10MB/s (the usual was closer to 34MB/s). I’m not sure what’s causing the drop. If the Ethernet cable is faulty, I’d be happy to buy another one on Amazon. I haven’t made any recent changes that would affect Ethernet performance. My motherboard is an ASUS Strix B450-F if needed. Thanks in advance.

Verify the link status; if it reads 100mbps, investigate the cable or driver. Open device settings, locate Link Speed, and choose 1000mbps full duplex or auto negotiation.

Ensure the Gamefirst app is removed from your device. It was affecting my internet speed.

I changed to this setup and couldn't get online. Usually it reconnects in a few seconds, but it just wouldn’t work. It was slower than usual, taking longer than expected. I had to swap the cables, which brought me back up to around 150mbps. On games like Steam or Epic, it's now about 30-40MB/s.
