Mainly, on my latest setup (installed roughly a month ago) internet performance is inconsistent. Downloads sit between 800-950 MBPs, while uploads lag significantly, often below 1 MBps. All software is current. Your hardware includes: R5 5600x 32 Gigs DDR4 3600mhz, Rog Strix B550-A, RTX 3070, Aorus Master Corsair 750W semi-modular PSU, Samsung 980 Pro 1TB, Lian Li o11 Dyanmix evo.
It’s the way the error message appears and the system behavior that raises concerns.
I expect it might be the same model. I gave up trying my onboard NIC on one of my Z690 MSI boards using the same chipset. My upload speeds aren’t that bad compared to others, but the problem persists. Downloads are fine, while uploads lag significantly—less than half the speed. Other PCs in the house see normal 1 Gig up and down. All my devices connect through a 2.5 GbE switch and Cat 6a cabling. When I was troubleshooting, the OP mentioned various settings but none worked for me. They insisted on checking firmware updates. Which Asus makes it? I could adjust several parameters from Intel forums, but changed back to defaults since nothing helped. My fix ended up being a PCIe NIC order.
Verizon? Yeah, I’m not sure what you mean. I don’t know anything about networks or tech stuff.
I’m not sure, it seems like I’m assuming the worst that there’s an issue with the MOBO. It could be the modem—since I previously connected the ethernet cable to my old Mac and some settings might be off. I also tried restarting my Wi-Fi router without success.
Thank you for the guidance. If other options fail, I'll go ahead and place an order for a PCIe NIC.
