It seems the speed you're seeing is very close to the maximum allowed for your connection. I'm not sure if the problem lies with the hardware or just the way the link is configured. It might be a negotiation issue between the 100/1000 Mbps settings. Hardwired devices often face similar challenges.
I've checked three PCs so far. The only other option I have is my PS4. I can confirm none of the adapter configurations have been altered. Unless I pinpoint the problem, I'm stuck with two temporary fixes: 1) switch to a Cat6 cable 2) purchase a wireless adapter (because wireless speeds are quicker).
I checked my PS4, though I understand Sony servers aren't ideal. Still, it connects quicker than mine.
Consider shifting the Ethernet connection from the PS4's rear to the PC, swapping a PC component to the PS4, and rechecking the setup. Observe the results.
The only alternative I can think of is powering down all devices except that one PC and the modem/router. Check the speeds again. It’s possible a rogue device is causing issues. Beyond that, I’m running out of options. Thanks.
