I noticed some issues with my computer recently. When my dad checked internet speed on his machine, he saw around 500mb/s download and 100mb/s upload. On my end, the test showed 80mb/s download and 90mb/s upload. I plugged in my Ethernet cable to check if the problem was with the cable itself. Running the speed test on my laptop gave the same numbers as his. Updating the network card drivers didn’t fix it either. I’m finding it hard, especially since my English isn’t very strong.

It seems your link speed is much higher than expected—around 100Mbps instead of the usual 1Gbit.

It's hard to believe it hasn't changed much, but that's fair.

Review the connection settings for the reported speed. If it lists 100M, it might be set exclusively or the device could be faulty.

I have no idea where to start, even though I might actually try.
