Network Link Establishment
I recently disassembled my prebuilt Dell XPS 8700 and replaced most of the components with new parts and a fresh case. The M.2 slot I selected (G1.Sniper H6) lacks a wireless internet connection, and I haven’t managed to run an Ethernet cable to my PC yet. My original Dell XPS came with a built-in Wi-Fi card (see image below), which provides the wireless connectivity I require. However, the new M.2 module doesn’t have a standard interface for adding a Wi-Fi card. I’m unsure if there’s an affordable and practical solution or if there’s another method to install the existing Wi-Fi module. I also found a spare part from a computer I disassembled earlier—could it work for this purpose? Please see the photo of the slot I intended to use.
I’d suggest a 5GHz WiFi adapter for faster speeds and less interference in crowded areas.
