I'm trying to understand why working from home is really tough for my dad. Downloading files from the office server to his laptop feels very slow—around 3Mb/s, even though the work server can handle 500Mb/s and his home connection is 300Mb/s. He uses OpenVPN GUI to connect to the server. It seems internet speed isn’t the problem, so maybe the workstation or router has limited capacity. I’m not sure if there are any tests we can run from home or how to access the hardware at the office. This sounds like a broad question, and any advice would be super helpful.

Do you have a contact within the IT department at your dad's workplace that you can reach out to about this matter? It’s best not to try to handle this on your own, especially if you’re not affiliated with the company.
