I just restarted my PC after six months of inactivity, juggling school and sports. Now connecting to my home network feels extremely slow, making most games nearly impossible. The surprising thing is that using the hotspot gives a much faster connection—about two to three times better. Could this be related to my computer settings or something about the network itself?

Upgrade your firmware router. (You need to reapply settings you previously set). Adjust WiFi channels. (Use a scanner or tool to check available channels and pick one that’s underused or least congested. You can also test all options for optimal performance.) Install updated wireless drivers. If you’re playing demanding multiplayer games, wired Ethernet offers the best performance.
