Network issues on Ethernet
The router's back panel features lan1-lan4 ports and a USB port. Connecting lan1 via Ethernet works but no websites appear. The other laptop also loses internet access and shows a yellow triangle in the network icon. Possible issues include incorrect configuration, firewall settings, or hardware faults.
You're connected to the router, but your router isn't connecting you to the internet. Does this happen when on wireless? And have you tried switching to a different port i.e. 'lan2'. Usually I have this problem when I've ballsed something up in the configuration of the router. I'm going to post a little website I found that can help you try to debug otherwise I'd end up writing what they have here. https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/sol...ion-issue/ Essentially: Try different port , Update your network card driver, Turn off an antivirus / Firewall temporarily to see if that fixes it, make sure ethernet is enabled which you do by pressing 'Win+R' (windows key) or get to the 'run' command line which you do by typing 'run' into the search bar at bottom of windows 10 task tray. Then type in 'devmgmt.msc' which is 'device management' Click on 'Network Adaptors' and make sure that the network adaptor underneath that is enabled. Just right click it and press 'enable' if that's an option. Edit: Try brwainer's method before going through this as that's a more likely culprit
Turning off the wired PC from the LAN ports allows the wireless version to restart. If it behaves similarly to your wired setup using the same IP address from the router, adjust your wired adapter to automatically obtain both IP and DNS settings. Absolutely! When I disconnect the Ethernet cable from the router, the wireless link on my other laptop suddenly becomes active again.
