Since January 2024 I've attempted all possible solutions. I also disabled every wireless channel and turned off all Bluetooth devices in my home, but the packet loss remains unchanged. It's proving very challenging to resolve this issue. Do you know anyone who could suggest a fix or help me eliminate the packet loss? I own the Gigahub with the newest firmware installed. Yes, I separated all the SSIDs and moved bandwidth-heavy devices to the 5 GHz band. Only my security cameras use the 2.4 GHz frequency. At one point I connected my phone, which operates on 2.4 GHz, and packet loss persisted even then. Have you encountered any problems with the Gigahub?
All of them run slowly and get crowded too. My ISP is replacing the modem to check if that’s the issue.
The problem lies around 2.4 Ghz with only 11 available channels, just three of which don’t overlap (1, 6, and 11). This section of the spectrum fills up quickly and 2.4 Ghz works well over moderate distances. At 5 Ghz there’s less congestion, shorter range, and weaker penetration, and it shares the band with radar systems. Therefore, any DFS channels you use are likely part of the radar spectrum, making them unreliable in your area. Companies often need special certifications for devices that support DFS, but many simply don’t handle those channels. The best approach is to use a WiFi analyzer app on your phone or tablet—it can show which channels are busy and help you check signal strength in different spots.
