Hey there, I’m facing a pretty annoying problem with CS2 lately. Here’s what’s happening: • My PC is showing a 115ms ping during games. • A teammate on the same network has smooth 20ms latency. • Speed tests reveal fast download/upload and no red flags. Anyone else see this? Or any tips to fix it? Appreciate the help!

I’m using Wi-Fi. The other player is also on the same network without any delays. Additionally, the issue started recently, and it wasn’t a problem I experienced before.

Since the armory update, I've been moving around a lot, and I'm connected via Ethernet. I think the two PCs are placed close together?

They aren't located on the same level, yet the Wi-Fi connection quality appears identical across both devices.

I analyzed the signal patterns and observed consistent levels across both devices.

The proximity of the motherboard to Wi-Fi significantly impacts latency and bandwidth. Using an Ethernet connection seems unlikely given such constraints.

I found a solution. The issue stemmed from my computer constantly toggling between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi frequencies, leading to instability and lag in my games. I wasn’t aware of the problem until I noticed significant ping spikes during CS2 play. I set up distinct SSIDs for each band on my router and connected my PC solely to the 5 GHz network. After this adjustment, the connectivity issues disappeared, and my connection became smooth and fast.
