When I run Windows, it shows a prompt asking for name and password, but after entering credentials the issue persists.

It seems like the problem might be related to your login details. You could try setting up a new account on your Mac or check if there’s a way to share folders openly without requiring credentials.

The problem appears to be translating your Mac name into an IP address. For Windows, enter its IP instead of the Mac name in the Explorer search bar.

Confirming connection method. Use "Windows key + R" or type it into the Explorer search bar.

Consider connecting both devices using an Ethernet cable and assigning static IP addresses within the same network. Set up the Windows PC at 192.168.1.2 with a fixed IP, and configure the Mac at 192.168.1.3 similarly. After that, attempt to reach the shared folders on your Mac again. On the Windows side, enter the address \\192.168.1.3

I understand, let me look for my extra cable and check if it works.
