Network files/pix/music failed completely.
So, I completely lost track of what Windows did. After updating my PC with full water cooling and swapping it for an HTPC, everything seemed normal. I tried connecting my documents and pictures to the right folders on the HTPC, but then noticed my network was under heavy load. Checking Task Manager showed my SSD RAID at 100% and a speed over 300 Mbps. That made sense—it was just indexing. Later, looking at the C drive, I saw my space dropping from 156 to 270 gigabytes in about ten minutes. I didn’t copy anything myself; Windows handled it all. Then I checked the hidden folders and found 158 gigabytes, but the computer reported 270. That’s strange. Has anyone experienced this before? It’s really confusing. I tried a disk cleanup, which removed around 1 gig of files, and checked the Windows index folder—still not seeing the 270 gig. What just happened, and how can I fix it?
