Hi, does anyone know if there is any difference is speeds for file transfer for "mapping a network drive" or "Adding network location" in windows. I have a NAS, and have used both in the past, but I don't know if there is any file transfer speed difference between the two. Reading on other forms, it seems that it makes a some difference for security purposes for IT professionals and for commercial purposes, and one guy said that a user introduced a virus into the network, and on one of the two types (i dont remember which one) it was a little harder for it to jump from one to another. For me that doesn't really matter much, I'm more concern about transfer speed of large files to and from the NAS. If anyone knows if there is any difference for speed, that would be appreciated!! Thanks
