Needs to upgrade to the latest model for $500
I'm planning to switch to the latest generation motherboards for better longevity. Depending on what I can save, I might be able to go up to 750$. I'm not too concerned about the manufacturer, just that it performs better than my current setup. I've already checked several components, but CPUs seem costly and I'm unsure if I'm getting good value. I'm also considering a 6700XT right now, but I want to know if there are any superior choices.
It seems the budget is around 500 with a maximum of 750.
What is the main purpose?
Well, if you’re near Microcenter, they usually offer bundled offers. They’ve been selling an AMD Ryzen 7700, board, and 32GB RAM for 399.
You might also consider the 6750 xt, which runs a bit faster than the 6700xt. The 7600 xt is another option.
If you’re building a gaming PC, swapping in an 8700k could be a good move, as they’re available for around 100 dollars.
Upgrading the power supply might be necessary, but you can find an RX 6800 for about 350.
You could also add another 2TB SSD to speed up loading and replace an old hard drive.
DDR4 memory is also affordable now, with 32GB kits often under 50 dollars.
