Needs to reinstall CMOS after setting up a new GPU frequently
Hello, I don’t post often on forums, but I thought this could be a good place to ask for help. Recently I changed my GPUs from a 6600xt to a 3080, but when I installed the drivers with ddu, I removed my NVIDIA ones and then the computer shut down. The fans still lit up, so I realized I needed to reset the CMOS. I also noticed there was AMD software on my PC when I right-clicked my background—thought it was for the CPU—but it happened again. Anyone have any advice? I uninstalled both AMD and NVIDIA drivers twice using ddu. Please let me know if you need more details, and thank you (sorry for the bad grammar).
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

We're going to need a little more info. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
Ideally you should use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(intel, Nvidia and AMD) in Safe Mode, then manually install the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer. In this instance, I'm guessing your GPU is either;
a| having a thermal issue
or
b| your PSU is unable to power your new hot headed GPU.
You will need a high wattage, reliably built PSU in order to tame the high transient load spikes of the RTX3080. Though we have yet to learn of your specs and we're only flying blind with assumptions at this point.
