07-12-2023, 03:09 PM #1Hello. About two weeks ago I had to suddenly format and fresh install everything due to some reason I got a new blue screen that I have not seen before. The screen sort of split in half with the sad windows message and the usual but was divided before the PC restarted. After I did my clean install and wipe of everything, I thought the problem was gone, but then it happened again, so I did it a second time. Now it happen less and less, yet it still appear somehow which I would guess is some sort of hardware issue in that case or perhaps something else. I recently updated my profile with my hardware and everything like such since last time I was here on the forum I had my old things. The setup I run now would be kind of modern? Yet I run into problems where my PC restart randomly when playing games or sometimes just opening Discord, Firefox and what not, it would just reboot. I have tried to do XMP or in this case, EXPO settings in the BIOS. (Not, have not updated to latest BIOS via flash drive yet because too lazy and not sure if it will help.) But I do wonder if there is any sort of free software I could use that would run on my PC and allow me to upload a log or something that someone could have a peek at, to see if I perhaps miss anything important or perhaps need to consider change out a part or two, my PSU is getting old, though I doubt that is the problem as my newer parts should manage a 750W still (I think). 08-09-2023, 04:50 PM #5It seems like you're reflecting on the same idea, realizing it's an older power supply unit that's been around since 2017. Maybe it's time to consider a replacement. I don't have another one on hand.
