Hello, welcome! Just a quick note about this being my first post—please forgive any mistakes. I'm using a B450M D3SH motherboard paired with a Ryzen 5 2600, an 1660 Ti processor, two 8GB PNY CL22 RAM sticks, a Kingston NVMe 1TB drive (name not sure), plus several SSDs and an HDD. The issue arises when running Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing of gameplay. My RAM hits its limit at 15.1 GB in Task Manager, especially when adding effects or loading multiple video files into a project. It slows down the software significantly. I'm wondering if it's best to upgrade to more 8GB RAM sticks and place them in empty slots, or to remove the existing ones and install larger ones (like 32GB or 16GB). Currently, my RAM is using dual channels without an XMP profile. Any tips on adjusting Windows settings or Premiere Pro configurations could help too.

Your hardware seems ready for improvement. Increasing the RAM to about 32GB and upgrading the CPU would significantly boost performance. Also, consider turning on the resize bar or SAM (for AMD) and enabling XMP settings.

Premiere is configured to utilize every available system memory, consuming all allocated RAM. Increasing the purchase allows it to handle more data. The system stores previews and previous versions to manage storage, which means usage scales with the number needed. How many previews and past versions are required?
