You mentioned the attached photo and explained the issue clearly. Unfortunately, I can't install Windows on both drives. I'm having trouble using my computer and need assistance.

They claim neither option is suitable, likely because Windows refuses to generate a new volume for that reason.

I didn’t mean to set up Windows on both disks. The issue is that it won’t be installed on either one.

Start the computer and disconnect one storage device (the one you don’t want Windows running). Power on again and return to the initial screen. Press Shift+F10, type "diskpart," press Enter. Select disk 0, press Enter, convert GPT, press Enter, exit, then close the command prompt. Proceed without partitioning. Pause for a moment—this is Windows 7? Is your setup using UEFI mode?

It's worth noting that this will select the 1TB drive. I assume the OP is trying to get Windows installed on the 256GB one (which is most likely an SSD). That would be select disk 2 then. @ImHKpeople Not a solution to your problem, but a helpful tip : When installing Windows, it's always a good idea to unplug all HDDs (or SSDs) except the one you want to install it on. The Windows installer has this nasty habit of putting the boot sector on another drive than the OS, which means that your Windows install will not boot anymore if you ever were to replace that other drive.

I instructed him to disconnect the drive before enabling Windows initially. This issue appears only with MBR, but not with GPT installations. It’s possible the user could need to switch to MBR if running Windows 7, making my suggestion useful.

Sure, I missed that part. That would definitely set the only drive to 0, right? My mistake. As soon as I spotted diskpart and the zero value, I began typing.

It's wiser to possess knowledge rather than lacking it. Check out my edit for more details.
