Hey! I've just acquired a new graphics card and my PC isn't utilizing it fully. My CPU is hovering around 70-80% during benchmark in Apex Legends, while the graphics card sits at 40-50%. The bottleneck test shows only 6%. My system runs an Intel i5-9400f at a steady 4.00 GHz, paired with Asus RTX 2070 (8GB single), ASUS PRIME B360M-A, and Corsair VS550 power supply. Many people use this rig and get smooth gameplay or around 120 FPS. I've checked everything but haven't found a fix.

Sure, a 9400F might not be ideal when combined with a top-tier card such as a 2070. It's better to opt for something like a 9700 unless you intend to overclock it.

What model is this? The 9400F isn't an i7. Having two RAM sticks would be great at the start to clear some issues.

K models support overclocking, whereas F models and processors lacking a letter next to their designation remain non-overclockable.

I checked the bottleneck calculator for the 2070 and it showed only 6% issue, but I spent $120 instead of saving.

When apex legends includes a frame cap or you're using VSync, full GPU utilization won't be achieved. The optimal improvement would be installing dual-channel RAM, ideally matching the existing stick and fitting into the motherboard's recommended slots.
