Hello, your motherboard has failed, so you're searching for a replacement for your i7-8700 and 2070 Super. You need 16GB with 3000MHz DDR4 RAM and a budget of about £100-120. You can purchase from Amazon UK.

Upgrade to the i7 processor and switch to a Ryzen 7 3700X with a B550 board. The Z390 options tend to be low quality or costly.

I’d like a mobile processor and keep the upgrades for two years since my funds are dwindling. I have 100 left, so let me know what motherboard fits this i7 setup. Thanks for your help!

He doesn't require z370 or z390, B360/B365 will suffice if it's a solid board.

Not every unit offers a suitable VRM setup to run the 8700 without performance limits, unfortunately.

Absolutely, that makes sense. Would a similar option be suitable? I understand prime boards aren't premium, but they shouldn't cause issues: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813119222

In fact, these are among the most basic boards available. Probably not what you're looking for. Still, I wouldn't expect to find it.

I choose the Z390 anyway. It's the final upgrade I'll make for the coming year or so.
