Once I switched to Windows 10, things worked smoothly, but on the older PC, the installer struggled significantly.
It seems you're dealing with an older operating system that might lack drivers for modern USB ports. You may have used a UEFI installation media on the previous machine. A solution could involve creating an MBR installer. Most DDR3 systems should work with Windows 10, and there doesn't appear to be a major upcoming OS requiring significant hardware overhauls.
For basic web use and video playback, the Athlon 200GE is an excellent option. I've utilized it in an office setting for a long time—it performs well, regardless of the cost. It can be boosted to around 4GHz on certain AGESA versions, enhancing its performance even further.
It seems I'm increasingly drawn to the 200GE, as it offers a future-proof path to upgrade to a B450 chipset and easily accommodate new components when required. Currently, the 200GE meets all the machine's needs. I started this discussion mainly because I wasn't familiar with Intel's integrated graphics, and it appears most people here favor AMD. I think saving money by choosing an i5-2500 instead won't make much difference.
