I'm feeling really drained and need some guidance. My computer starts acting up after about 5 to 60 minutes of gaming. This problem keeps coming back even after I swapped out the CPU, cooler, and tried many other fixes. I've listed my current and past specs from last weekend's upgrades, but nothing seems to work. I've also shared what steps I've taken, the event logs, the minidump file from Driver Verifier, and any other details that might help.
Here’s what I have so far:
- **Pre-upgrade specs:** AMD Ryzen 3 3100 with stock Stealth cooler, CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro SL 32GB DDR4-3200, ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT, Intel ARC A770 Limited Edition, Elgato HD60 Pro capture card, Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 2280 500GB SSD, plus a backup ADATA SX850 SATA SSD for boot.
- **Upgrades made:** CPU changed to Ryzen 5 5600X3D, cooler replaced with DeepCool AG400 ARGB single-tower model, boot drive moved to new Crucial P5 Plus 2TB PCIe M.2, partitioned via MiniTool Partition Wizard.
- **Troubleshooting steps:** Checked Event Viewer, found a critical error that triggered a reboot; updated drivers for all hardware; refreshed BIOS; ran MemTest on RAM (passed); performed multiple Borderlands 3 benchmarks with HWinfo monitoring temperatures; used Driver Verifier to test drivers; booted into safe mode after a crash; deleted the Elgato capture card driver and removed the card.
- **Observed:** The crash still happens occasionally, especially during long gaming sessions. Power supply seems unlikely to be the cause. After removing the suspected driver, the issue reappeared shortly after starting Borderlands 3.
I’m unsure what’s next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
