Need some tips for TF2? Here’s what you should keep in mind.
I’ve always played those roles—Pyro, Sniper, Medic, Engineer—but recently I’ve been diving into spying. It’s a cool concept, though I’m really struggling with it. (Honestly, I’m not great at it.) If you’re looking for tips, advice on the best weapons or loadouts would be helpful. I’m just trying to improve after my big failures.
I didn’t have the time or patience to play as a spy for long. The top spies I’ve seen are those with plenty of patience and map knowledge. You must watch everything before acting. Being a defensive, camping spy is simpler because you’ll get teammate support. You might want to try that first.
I’m used to precision, since staying at the base lets me pick off targets quietly. Waiting to unfasten is tough—by then the shooter’s already moved.
This seems to work for me. Basically get to or close to the enemy base while cloaked then get somewhere safe (somewhere where you're unlikely to be seen when you uncloak). Wait for enemies to pass you whilst they are heading to the frontline/objective. Target classes that are slow or don't move much (heavies, snipers, engineers etc). When you find a target, disguise as another class, uncloak then approach you target from behind (it will look like your one of them that's just come from their base) and BACKSTAB!!!! Hope this helps. This will not make you a master Spy, it's just something to start with.
What blade you typically rely on and whether a pistol proves more effective from the back are key questions.
I’d like my son who seems skilled in that game to assist you, but he’s been banned from our home for a long time now. He really made life difficult, pushing me to the edge. At one point he caused a lot of trouble—flooded the bathroom, broke things, even attacked me when I tried to stop him. He’d sneak in and play whenever he could. It was really tough. Eventually I had to take him to the hospital with police support after reporting him. Even though I thought I was doing the right thing, it turned out I was mistaken. While he’s been under his stepmother’s care, he’s been going through a rehab program for young people and is now on medication, showing improvement. He’s not playing TF2 anymore, which was sad since he was so hooked. He’s also getting treatment for good reasons.
Anyway… I’d really appreciate having a great player help with TF2, but if he stays involved, things could get dangerous. LOL
