I have a Rocket 450M motherboard with two Xeon Skylake processors, each equipped with a G.Skill Trident Z 3200 and 8GB RAM (total 16GB). Adding another 2x 16GB 3200 units would increase the memory capacity. This should not cause performance problems for your current workloads like 3D modeling and VFX, as long as the system stays within thermal and power limits.
What processor are you using? It works well as long as your CPU’s memory controller can handle it, the modules’ speeds match, and all sticks share the same memory chips. I’m running 48GB on my setup. Just ensure each channel has at least 8+16 channels, so the configuration should support full dual-channel operation (avoid 8-8-16-16 which would disrupt that).
Other options available:

The timing details seem consistent across the board. It's uncertain if G.SKILL has ever switched memory chip suppliers for the stick, though it's likely they remain the same. Are you planning to purchase a single 16GB module or two? If buying two, arrange them side by side; this may lead to problems if the 16GB sticks are single-rank, as the two 8GB units could run together in a dual-rank setup within another channel. Using asymmetrical RAM is not advised.
I'm seeing 2X16, so I'll format it as 8-16-8-16 as requested. Thanks for your help!
