Hey everyone, I'm facing some problems with my RAM. It keeps crashing while playing games on Wine, then I switched to Windows but still got BSODs each time with different messages. I ran Memtest86 using a USB drive and saw errors right away on tests 7 through 9. I tried several times and always got the same issues. I removed one stick, did a single pass, swapped it with another, put them back in different slots—still errors appeared. The error report showed specific addresses and bit patterns, but the motherboard was reading 1.36V instead of the required 1.35V for the XMP profile. I changed the voltage manually, but the problems persisted.

The report details: on July 3rd at 12:03:31, testing started and lasted 0:41:51. Memory size tested was 16883MB. After swapping RAM sticks, no errors appeared. Still, issues arose when I ran tests again. The kit is rated for 1.35V, but the board gave 1.36V. I followed the instructions carefully, but errors kept showing up.

I haven’t fully tested each stick individually because of my warranty limits. If I need to return both units, I’ll need a replacement from G.Skill. Before that, could you suggest any other tests I can run on this setup? I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I believe I fixed the problem. I updated my BIOS a few weeks back, tried downgrading but it didn’t help, though I tested RAM without XMP and saw no issues. I reverted to the BIOS, reset CMOS, turned on XMP but reduced the speed from 3000 to 2933 (this setting worked fine). Now I can run memtest86 without errors. The PC hasn’t crashed so far.
