Hello everyone, I'm seeking your recommendations. I'm planning to assemble a workstation for various content creation tasks such as anime figures, 3D models, gaming, and simulations. The software I intend to use includes Photoshop, Blender, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and games like Fortnite, League of Legends, DOTA, PUBG. I have several choices available and am working within a budget, opting for second-hand purchases. My options are:
1. i7 2600K, 32GB DDR3 RAM (1333MHz), Samsung SSD, 4TB HDD, GTX 960 (4GB), 650W PSU – total $150
2. i7 3770K, 32GB DDR3 RAM (1333MHz), Samsung SSD, 4TB HDD, GTX 960 (4GB), 650W PSU – total $150
3. i5 6600K, 16GB DDR4 RAM (2400MHz), Samsung SSD, 4TB HDD, GTX 960 (4GB), 650W PSU – total $150
Please let me know your thoughts on the best setup and if any adjustments are necessary for the selected configuration. Thank you!
None of the choices fits the requirements you mentioned. Out of the options, I would select #3, though none of these will effectively handle the workload you described. It's worth noting that adding an extra 16GB RAM isn't always beneficial if you're using a less powerful processor and sticking with DDR3.
Option three offers greater upgrade possibilities. The FTR title could be seen as a bit too bold.
Beyond the upgrade perks, what sets it apart from the others?
RAM capacity is 32GB, though it isn't DDR3. Are you running the software from a different system right now?
My Mac is running smoothly with its specs, but switching to macOS brings some changes.
