You can also explore League of Legends at no cost, managing a Hero with unique powers and progressing through levels to eventually breach the opponent's defenses.

In the original message, you mentioned free games available for PC other than League of Legends.

Heroes of the Storm is another MOBA style game. You can find many free-to-play titles on Steam, such as Team Fortress 2.

why not check out the older games which are far cheaper? Try the original starcraft, or the original command and conquer games even (up to red alert 2, after that they're crap.) or if you want a newer game check supreme commander (forged alliance), which is amazing. There's plenty of cheap options out there just have to look a bit further in the past

World of Warships offers a solid experience with a bit more depth and a slower pace, leaning into armored warfare. For those seeking free strategy options, I concur—total war games are always enjoyable. If you're looking for a quick introduction, try Rome; it's classic, has solid mechanics, plenty of gold, and should be affordable.
