Looking for some enjoyable free PC games to try out instead of League of Legends? I’d appreciate it if you could help me find some quality options. Thanks a lot! P.S. Strategy titles are especially nice.

I begin with Starcraft II and Rome: Total War, both strong titles despite their distinct mechanics. They’re both fully paid games.

Thanks for the idea. I agree, quality games tend to be paid products.

For RTS for sure. It'll be hard to find a free to play strategy game. But there are less expensive options like Wargame: Red Dragon and Ashes of the Singularity and (if you catch it on sale) Civilization IV / V

It's tough to locate quality strategy games at no cost. I haven't come across any before. For a solid tactical shooter, I suggest Heroes and Generals.

If you want something free, MegaGlest is an option. It's quite old—around 10 to 15 years—so it might not be the most engaging. The visuals are also average, but it still offers a free choice.

I find Armored Warfare an enjoyable game. You lead a Main Battle Tank or support vehicle in arcade matches. I've had a great time playing that.

For fans of WWII fighter planes and tanks, WarThunder is worth checking out.
