It's a fresh build. I've been working on it for the past two months. The main components were the motherboard and the old 5600X CPU; I wasn't anticipating such a large project.

Is this the MSI MAG A100w? It performs quite well.

Your current mobile is quite good and should manage the 5950x well unless it gets overly overclocked. This board features a 12+2 power phase configuration, making it strong enough for your CPU. Here are some more premium choices for B550 models:

I was thinking about upgrading, probably the DDR5 version, but it also comes with an integrated water block for the Mobo. Yep, it's the MAG A1000G.

O also, i have the 8 pin plugged in for the cpu but it also has a 4 pin, Every time i try to connect that one the board wont boot. So before i could OC i would have to figure that out.

You're right about the 5600x cooler. Just received the 5950x today, but wasn't entirely sure which model to choose.

Yes, the board you're looking at is different from your CPU being AMD, so it won't work. With your existing setup, upgrading to DDR5 isn't feasible—it would require a new CPU, motherboard, and RAM. If I were you, I'd install a high-speed RAM with at least 3600MHz and a 16GB configuration, install it, and use a solid 280 AIO for smooth performance.

With this board supporting 4600mhz, should I aim for that frequency or is 3600mhz sufficient? I've faced issues with the game City Skylines before, especially with memory usage and performance. Many assets caused problems, and my RAM struggled. Since you mentioned the upgrade from 2133mhz to 3600mhz is significant, I'm wondering if it would be enough. I'm considering the G.Skill Trident Z Royal 16GB DDR4 4600MHz Memory Module (16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4, 4600MHz).
