I believed I was here to seek guidance. What kind of PC and where could I buy one within the $1200 range for gaming? Thank you.

Start here: *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice First off, respect where respect is due - this is an adaptation of the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* Sticky. I created this because there's a lot of posts nowadays asking for upgrade advice both on here and on the CPU forums, and I feel... forums. Post in the systems forum.

Yes, there is proper etiquette I should adhere to. If the answer isn't straightforward, I realize I'm on the wrong page.

Not straightforward. The choice of hardware really depends on the kinds of games you plan to play. At around $1200, the decision between a monitor, mouse, keyboard, operating system, headphones, or other extras will significantly affect performance. It doesn’t seem like you’re aiming to build your own system. If you prefer ready-made options, brands like HP Omen, MSI, ASUS, or even Newegg’s ABS are solid choices for computers that can be upgraded later. There are also many specialized builders offering premium components at higher prices, such as Cyberpower, iBuyPower, and NZXT’s service.

I was wrong about the USAF. I didn't realize you were trying to help me. Thanks. Eximo. Yes, I couldn't assemble a PC on my own. I'm also familiar with the companies mentioned.

Following this guide simplifies finding the optimal setup for your budget, whether you choose a ready-made option. The games you wish to play, the desired resolution, and whether you require a monitor and accessories are important factors. Are you in proximity to a Microcenter? They also offer builds under their Power Spec branding and can construct a system using parts you purchase yourself.

I believe there is a Microcenter south of me, which may be 45 minutes away. I considered finding a PC with an Nvidia 3080 Ti Founders Edition instead of the 4080 Super. Maybe I can save more money that way. Stick with an i7 and not go with the i9 32 gigs of memory instead of 64 gigs. But still stick with a 1000w power supply.

Little point in buying a 3080 Ti retail. 4070 Super is about the same performance. 4080 Super bumps you up a whole tier in terms of GPU size. 4070 Ti Super is a cut down 4080.

A video card in that price range is going to eat up most of your budget.
