I’m searching for recommendations on a gaming laptop within the $2,500 budget. There are several choices available, but I’m unsure which one suits you best.

With that budget, there are many choices available.
What kinds of games are you interested in? Are you looking for the highest quality or the best performance?
Do you prefer a specific size, as $2500 can easily lead you into desktop replacement territory (which might mean you're vying with bitcoin miners to secure them)?

It varies based on your priorities.
For a portable option featuring modern technology, Thunderbolt 4, a high-quality 60hz 4K screen, and a solid GPU-to-resolution ratio, the Gigabyte Aero 17 is a good choice.

If you prioritize the highest refresh rates (240hz) alongside the fastest available GPU within your budget and other current standards like Thunderbolt 4, the Gigabyte Aorus is recommended.

Another option is the Razer model, offering 1440p resolution with impressive refresh rates (240hz). However, its CPU is from the previous generation and uses Thunderbolt 3. The laptops are slim but thermal performance may be uncertain.

Keep in mind that even with powerful GPUs, 240hz might not deliver much due to CPU limitations and thermal constraints compared to desktops.
If you prefer something compact and lightweight, sacrificing some performance is acceptable. Other alternatives exist.

I’m not a dedicated gamer but enjoy solid performance in FPS titles and occasional video editing. I’m simply seeking the top choice overall, without any particular game focus or size preference. I don’t need something too compact, but I’m open to anything that suits my needs right now—just a laptop since I can’t afford a desktop at the moment.

Not really discovering anything that excludes.
Current top models include the i7 and RTX 3080 with 240Hz or 300Hz screens and sizes ranging from 15.6 to 17.3 inches.
High-resolution options at 1080p with 240/300Hz are available on Newegg.
Larger displays at 1440p with 144hz are listed as well.
Additional storage and memory options with 1650 Ti are also shown.

What do you think of this? I noticed my budget is closer to $2,000 instead of 2.5k.

And these, what are your thoughts on the matter? Do you believe there are better alternatives available?

The Aorus offers greater system memory and appears more visually appealing compared to the Dell on a personal note. However, the Dell has a larger 17-inch display at 300Hz, while the Aorus has a 15-inch screen at 144Hz. The Aorus's 300Hz is mainly suitable for light games like CS:GO where you can reach close to 300FPS. Both models run on older Intel processors, which are still quite efficient. The 11th generation CPUs tend to consume more power.

Using those premium GPUs, I'd prefer at least QHD for gaming.

You can also opt for 4K.
