I currently possess a modest AMD setup using PFSense. It features two Ethernet connections: one connected to the WAN via your Spectrum ISP modem, and another linking into your switch for LAN access. The device has been struggling lately, requiring frequent restarts this month. You're looking for a reliable replacement option, preferably something straightforward and affordable—around $100 or less. Spectrum internet is already in place, and you have a 200/11 plan, so additional costs should be minimal.

Keep it reasonable, typically around $55-60. Explore BHPhotoVideo and BalticNetworks for preorders or early alerts. The ER-X-SFP functions like a regular ER-X with an SFP port (around $100), so keep that in mind. It's tough to surpass the ER-X at this cost. If you're willing to upgrade ($180), the Netgate SG-1100 offers solid performance as well.

Based on availability in your region, you might want to explore pcengines apu2 for optimal power efficiency: https://pcengines.ch/order.htm. If not, opt for an affordable Optiplex or comparable items from eBay for the best value. Additionally, think about moving to OPNsense, which offers a PFSense experience with some great user experience enhancements.

I've been reviewing it, and it looks quite similar to what PFSense offers with some additional features.
