Worked properly before. Found two Trojan viruses; think it’s the reason. Bitdefender can’t delete them since they’re protected by encryption. Immediate assistance required. Attempted Mini XP but failed again. Need help.

Run a comprehensive scan using Kaspersky AV, Malwarebytes, and SuperAntispyware. If needed, format the USB with HP USB Format Tool.

The HP tool indicates it is locked. I’ll switch to another device this evening at school.

Find the Linux distribution for your liver system. It lets you boot a Linux OS from a USB drive without installing it.

Search for "Ubuntu download" in Google to reach the official Ubuntu site. Use the UNetBootin tool—it’s user-friendly—select the desired Ubuntu ISO from your storage and pick a USB drive you wish to install it onto. (The tool includes a Linux downloader, so you can specify the Linux version and destination USB, and it will generate a bootable USB.) Once installed, boot from the USB and choose options like "Try Ubuntu without installation" or a live environment depending on your needs. If gparted isn’t pre-installed, open a terminal (find it via programs) and run "sudo apt-get install gparted." Confirm with "y" when prompted. Type "gparted" in the terminal or double-click its icon. Remember, keep the terminal window open; closing it will end the session. Apologies for the confusion caused by the tablet input.

There's a chance your USB drive is faulty I have seen it many times.

It seems the issue might be linked to a decompression bomb trojan.

They recommended using Gparted for this task. EaseUS Partition Master could work on Windows too, but if you think it’s virus-related, Linux might be the better choice.
