You were just gaming on WoW when your computer stopped working and won’t start up. Here are some possible solutions: check for updates, run a system check, ensure hardware is healthy, and verify power settings. If issues persist, consider restarting or seeking technical support.

It doesn't respond when you press the power button. You might need to test each RAM stick separately in its slot. If the area appears black, check for any signals from the motherboard such as beeps or lights.

It seems like you're unsure about testing RAM sticks. Your thoughts suggest checking the power supply unit or motherboard first. If you lack replacement parts, a nearby repair shop might be able to assist. However, you mentioned not being familiar with hardware issues, so it might help to seek guidance from someone more experienced.

Disconnect the device from the power source, hold for 5-10 seconds, then reconnect. A lit LED on the motherboard indicates a stable 5V standby voltage from the PSU. If the system fails to boot, the power supply is likely dead. You can verify by removing all cables and using a short wire or paperclip to force the PSU on by connecting two pins in the 24-pin connector together. Refer to https://www.lifewire.com/atx-24-pin-12v-...ut-2624578 for details. If the power supply starts and the fan operates, it is functional.

Add what Mariushm mentioned... First, verify your main power outlet to ensure electricity reaches the device from the electrical panel. It’s possible the circuit was overloaded and the protection shut off—such as when other devices like an air dryer or heater are connected. Try inserting a lamp into the same socket where the PC was plugged in to test functionality. If it works, the issue likely lies with the computer's power supply unit. If not, inspect your electrical panel for a tripped circuit breaker.

A false alarm occurred, the plug failed, so I brought it in for replacement by my father.
