Power Supply: 550W Bronze+ CM

Connectivity: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapter
Cooling: Case fans – 3 x ARGB and 1 x non-RGB
Display: Acer 22-inch IPS monitor
I own an inverter at my location but because of regular power outages in my area, I purchased an ENTER UPS E-U740 LINE UPS.
The output power is 360W.
From a nearby store, I bought this unit to safeguard my GPU during brief interruptions when electricity cuts. It offers solid backup during normal operation (when the GPU isn’t active), but during intense gaming sessions—such as playing COD series, GTA V—the moment the power drops, my PC crashes instantly and then restarts once the inverter activates.
I took it to the shop for inspection, but it still managed to play GTA V, Genshin Impact, and COD:MW Remastered for about 4 to 5 minutes before shutting down completely. I brought it back home, connected the monitor directly to the board, and tested again—switching off the power during Genshin kept it alive. However, after roughly 30 minutes, my friend was playing COD:MW and the power went out again, causing the PC to shut down immediately.
This situation is extremely frustrating!
Please help urgently!!!

Another important detail: When I disconnect power first and then start the PC on the UPS, I can play a few games (Genshin, COD:MW, GTA V) for several minutes. However, when using the inverter directly, the moment electricity cuts, the PC shuts down instantly, even though the UPS provides no more than a second of backup.

The UPS is designed to supply the necessary power so the supported system can operate long enough for the user to safely shut it down. Continuing to run may be irrelevant since power failures often result in internet loss. The U740 model seems unable to deliver the required power and time for a standard shutdown. Please add full hardware specifications and operating system details to your post. Other connected devices include the PC and at least one monitor. Any additional information?

The UPS is designed to supply the necessary power so the supported system can operate long enough for the user to safely shut it down. Continuing to run may be irrelevant since power failures often result in internet loss. The U740 model seems unable to deliver the required power and time for a standard shutdown. - PC parts supplied via PSU
- Display units
- Network switch/router
- Internet service provider wide area network link (such as modem)
UPS units are generally designed for full-load operation time (360 watts in your scenario) and half-load duration (180 watts).
If the issues you mention are steady and predictable, it seems your gear is surpassing the UPS's capabilities. A 360-watt unit represents a modest capacity.

My belief is that initially, the UPS might have slightly supported the needs.
Allowing enough time—about 2 to 3 minutes—for proper shutdown would help.
However, power issues and wear reduced the UPS's performance. This is especially true if the unit is faulty or of poor quality, particularly concerning the battery.
As a result, the UPS only functions for a few seconds at best, causing the PC to shut down.
It’s likely that the logs contain errors from improper shutdowns.
The UPS might have operated for 4 to 5 minutes in the store, but only because there was enough power to fully recharge without voltage issues.
The PSU could also have been degraded or damaged.
Could a qualified electrician inspect your power system? Make sure everything is correct and safe.
Also keep an eye on incoming voltage for sags, spikes, and frequency changes.

As I mentioned in your previous discussion, a 740VA UPS from a trusted maker would indeed be suitable for your setup (except for a 200w OLED monitor)—because at 0.7 power factor it delivers around 518W, and at 0.6 it's about 444W. However, 740 is merely the model code for your UPS and is often listed with different ratings like 650VA/360W or 600VA/300W by sellers, sometimes in the same advertisement. Since they’re clearly misrepresenting its 100% efficiency, those figures shouldn’t be relied upon, especially when you’re gaming. Technically, you can only extract half the energy from a lead-acid battery if you ever hope to recharge it, and most 12V UPSes cut power at 10V anyway, so you won’t get all 7Ah. So, a nominal 12V x 3.5Ah is just 42 watt-hours. The advertised runtime of 10–15 minutes is roughly two to three times longer than what most well-known UPS models can actually provide under full load. At the claimed 100% efficiency, it could only theoretically supply enough power for 168W for 15 minutes or 252W for 10 minutes. As you can see, these claims don’t match up.

Ralston18 mentioned an issue I've faced recently with a Tripplite Omni1000: the UPS battery might need replacement. My systems operate on stable mains power and experience only occasional shutdowns due to brief power loss events each year, but after roughly four years the batteries start to degrade. It's worth keeping in mind. If replaceable, a new battery would cost about one-fifth of what it takes to buy a new UPS.

Update: Shop replaced the 360W UPS with a 1200V/720W UPS, it solved the problem! No more system crashes.
I have another problem which started during this UPS mess please check and help in "System" section, post title: USB ports not working. It will be a great help!
