It's unrealistic to expect such high performance outside of competitive gaming. A 2070 won't handle 1440p ultrawide at 1440fps without a powerful CPU upgrade. You might need a faster processor to achieve that, but you'll likely have to reduce your resolution for the GPU to manage the frames, unless certain games support it.

You should focus on boosting memory speed. Your Infinity Fabric is tightly bound to memory performance—aim for higher frequencies. With a 2700X paired with an RTX 2060, you’re at the entry-level side for 4K gaming. It handles memory clocks of 3600MHz well but needs some time to adapt. This tuning method is cost-free; try disabling SMT to lower temps and power use, which can slightly improve results. Small game adjustments like reducing post-processing or lowering settings can also help. There are many free changes you can make without spending money. A 5600X would likely boost CPU performance by about 30%, making it much better during low FPS periods.

I noticed that switching to a 5800X boosted my frame rate by 20 on 1440p ultra wide gaming. That’s a big improvement. Thanks!
