@IAmAFrenchFry Here's that link. it will show you how to identify your memory stick. If yours looks different from these two shown in the link, then it's A3 PCB. https://community.hwbot.org/topic/187637...cognition/

I relied on this to solve it and then checked the heat spreader.

We received the same link. Since it's already A2 level, I wonder what to do next. I tried entering it into the calculator, which adjusted my timing as mentioned. Should I use the calculator or just set XMP/DOCP, tweak the timing (16-19-19-39 to 16-18-18-36), and then set the command rate to 2t?

Lol, I just added that for you! Nice job doing your research. The best approach is to adjust things gradually, one setting at a time. Usually it takes a lot of tweaking and testing. This process might take weeks of evenings after work or school to get it right. Just a reminder—this won’t be done tonight.

Enable XMP/DOCP functionality then navigate to the BIOS settings and adjust the desired parameters. Remember, progress in small steps is ideal. Keep testing along the way. Take your time and stay patient.

The problem you described—whether missing imported timings, the correct PCB type, and whether fast or imported timings are used—does affect proper functionality.

The DRAM calculator doesn't include every memory type and model available. You'll likely need to adjust it yourself, which is perfectly fine. It just requires some effort.
