The Samsung Magician didn’t load properly after waking your PC from hibernation. You downloaded the latest version but encountered an error about an outdated installation. You removed it and reinstalled from the official site. Now your drive shows 23GB of unallocated space with Over Provisioning disabled. To enable Over Provisioning without data loss, you’ll need to adjust the settings through Windows or use a recovery tool. Make sure your drive is properly formatted and that you’re using the latest Windows 11 updates.

The screenshot was taken before the issue. The 23GB label is on the right side of the bar graph. Regarding the "over provisioning," the unallocated area represents the extra space available, and it will operate identically regardless of whether Magician detects it.

The images show the status after installation. Is it still fully provisioned? If not, can I revert the 23GB to a standard setting? The Samsung Magician tool once helped clear this, but now it doesn’t work after reinstalling. Also, does the extra space still matter with an M.2 NVMe SSD?

In technical terms, yes. You'd need partition management tools to move the recovery partition to the end, then resize your main partition into the available space (Windows doesn't support non-contiguous partitions). If you press the "Set OP" button, it seems you might exceed the warranty period before any noticeable benefits appear. However, I've enabled this setting for my 960 PRO...

I don’t have a specific suggestion, just let it sit and avoid making changes. It seems the system is trying to allocate extra space, but clearing it didn’t help.
