my cpu is a ryzen 5 1600 overclocked to 4.0ghz at 1.380 volts, the motherboard is an asrock fatal1ty ab350 gaming k4, and the ram is xpg spectrix d40 ddr4 rgb 3000mhz with four 8gb sticks totaling 32gb. my system only allows me to reach 2666mhz on the ram. i'm wondering what adjustments i should make to the timings so it functions properly. please explain thoroughly, thank you. oh ya, when i try setting the xmp to 3000mhz i get a blue screen occasionally. if i keep it at 2666mhz i don't see any issues. also here are my current ram timings: 16-16-16-39 cr1 trc 55 trfc 467.

AX4U300038G16-QRS is a 8x4GB kit from ADATA. Current ram timings are 16-16-16-39, which aren't particularly significant if you don't specify the memory part number. The Ryzen 2000 Series introduced faster memory speeds with the updated Integrated Memory Controller (IMC) compared to earlier models like the Ryzen 5 1600. More details on memory configurations can be found at the provided link.

Update the BIOS if necessary. Then attempt to configure the RAM speed to 2933mhz, using the settings 16-16-16-36-75-1. If this doesn't resolve the issue, refer to the review at the provided link, as Ryzen tends to benefit from tighter timing.

Test at 1.35V, if the PC doesn't run smoothly, increase to 1.36V.

consider trying 1.35V, and if the PC isn't stable, increase to 1.36V. Do you think this issue is related to having four RAM sticks? It reached 2933MHz even with just two 8GB sticks.

Perhaps due to the 1600 +B350 motherboard, we understand that AM4+ had issues with RAM before, as mentioned in the article: http://www.legitreviews.com/ddr4-memory-...pus_192259. However, updates to the BIOS with AGESA 1.0.0.4a micro code have improved things. Also, according to other reviews, AMD might still face RAM problems (though possibly incorrect), see this comparison: https://us.hardware.info/reviews/8085/11...-amd-ryzen. Remember, if you have four RAM sticks, they increase stress on the IMC, which could cause issues. If you can't use 32GB at 2933mhz, you have limited options—either use two 8GB sticks at 2933mhz, reduce speed for 32GB, or consider replacing the RAM with a 2x16GB kit.
