Hey there! I set up my account to find a reliable solution for this upgrade question. Right now I'm expanding my gaming rig and planning to add more RAM sticks. My current setup has two 8GB DDR4 3200 MHz modules, but I’m wondering if it’s better to use identical sticks or go for higher speeds like 3600 or even 4000+. I understand they’re technically compatible with different speeds, but I’ve heard it might affect performance and put extra strain on my motherboard. Should I replace all my RAM with 3600 units or stick with the higher-end options? Thanks for your advice, Adam!
3200mhz RAM works well with a 9900k processor. I’d look for a matching memory setup to maintain dual-channel performance.

From what I understand, combining different RAM sizes could force it to operate in single-channel mode, which might hurt performance. If you're comfortable with 32GB of RAM, I'd stick with my previous advice. For additional memory, purchasing a complete new system would be the best option.
