Overclocking the cache demands extra CPU core voltage. At 5GHz you'll need above 1.30v, and with a cache boost to 4.5GHz you're looking at higher voltages.

Search for signals between 300-500 MHz. Keep in mind that additional cache clocks need higher voltage to remain consistent, as the processor handles more tasks quickly.

I wasn't aware you required more vcore with faster caching speeds. That's one of my issues there! I'll continue to play around and return later.

It's typically very reliable at -300, offering plenty of voltage margin; just increase it slightly for better performance.

Over time I achieved stable performance around 5.0ghz with cache enabled and vcore at 1.295v. It handles 80-85°C under heavy load without issues. While I aimed for 5.1, it was fine. My 1080 Ti also reached 2088mhz under stress and stayed at 45°C or less. UserBenchmark rated my GPU at 151%, placing it in the top 1% of owners. Lucky guy!

You're on the right track at that temperature where 85°C is sufficient. Good progress. Continue refining. Add a slight cache tweak—aim for maintaining 1.2950v and achieving a stable 4.5 to 4.7ghz.

I worked really hard to improve cache speeds, but it still won’t auto-act. I even increased the voltage by 15 mV without fixing the issue, and still face BSODs. I don’t want to raise the voltage further. This CPU seems to be stuck—soldered in place. I’ve seen my old 7700k drop about 20°C with a 200MHz jump to 5GHz, which worked fine. I’m happy with what I have now.

Updated! I purchased an EK velocity WB, a 240mm slim radiator, and am linking my CPU to the GPU cooling system. I'm also removing the solder. Moving forward, I'm thinking about using direct die liquid metal. Plus, I might be able to reduce the die size by 0.1mm to 0.3mm. Looking for a 5.4GHz all-core processor. I'll share my progress in another thread as things develop.
