Need Help with New Pc
Hey everyone,
I’m reaching out for help with a recent purchase I made a few days back. I haven’t ever overclocked my system before, so I’m a bit concerned about the auto-voltage feature sometimes jumping from 0.700 to 1.100. I just want it to stay at the stock settings and don’t mind adjusting it over time.
Here’s what I have:
Intel® Core™i7 Six Core Processor i7-5930K (3.5GHz) 15MB Cache
ASUS® X99-A: ATX, HSW-E CPU, USB 3.0, SATA 6 GB/s
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz X.M.P (4 x 4GB)
Idle temps for CPU: 34-37c
For GPU: 30c
For motherboard: 28c
My system specs are listed, but I’m unsure what settings to change in the BIOS since there aren’t just a few options.
Thank you for taking the time to read this—I’d really appreciate any advice.
P.S. I noticed the PC comes with 6 fans (2 front, 1 back, 2 top, 1 on CPU) and a Noctua NH-D15S cooler.
You can configure voltage in your bios, but auto voltage is fine—it uses power only as required and won’t cause overvoltage to your CPU. I’d go with it as is.
